YANGON, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Three women have been arrested in Myanmar's former capital of Yangon for trying to send methamphetamine (ICE) to a foreign country through express mail service, according to the Yangon General Post Office late on Wednesday.

The three women attempted to ship 70 packets of methamphetamine weighing 1.32 kilograms at the post office on Tuesday.

While inspecting the shipment, customs officials found white methamphetamine crystals worth over 105 million kyats (70,000 U.S. dollars).

The three sender women were handed over to the police and investigation into the case is underway.

Meanwhile, Myanmar's anti-narcotic force also seized 5.6 kilograms of methamphetamine worth 560 million kyats (373,333 U.S. dollars) from a passenger at the Yangon International Airport on April 30. Enditem
