LUSAKA, May 10 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Friday.
-- A Zambian state-run railway firm has started discussions with international partners for acquisition of specialized wagons on hire basis to expand its capacity to meet cargo haulage demand.
Zambia Railways Limited chief executive officer Christopher Musonda said a law introduced last year that forces heavy and bulky cargo to be transported by rail has created demand for railway transport hence the firm's decision to embark on measures to enhance its capacity. (Times of Zambia)
-- Over 10,000 people are expected to benefit from the 27 million U.S. dollars African Development Bank (AfDB) funded agriculture program in the northern part of Zambia.
