TEHRAN, May 13 (Xinhua) -- Iran has picked former Belgium coach Marc Wilmots as national soccer coach, Tasnim news agency reported on Monday.
Negotiations have been conducted and are about to be completed shortly, according to the report.
The contract fee of Wilmots, including two Belgian assistants, would be one and half million U.S. dollars.
The Belgian coach will also be assisted by an Iranian coach, namely Javad Nekounam.
Iran has been without a coach since Carlos Queiroz left to take over as Colombia coach after Team Melli's AFC Asian Cup 2019 campaign in the United Arab Emirates in January. Enditem
