LONDON, May 13 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.55 percent, or 39.61 points, to close at 7,163.68 points.
Centrica, a British multinational energy and services company, soared 3.02 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. National Grid and Compass Group increased by 1.69 percent and 1.38 percent respectively.
