FRANKFURT, May 14 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 114.97 points, or 0.97 percent, to close at 11,991.62 points.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.74 percent. Energy group RWE and marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group rose by 2.62 percent and 2.37 percent respectively.
Pharmaceutical company Merck lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 3.70 percent. Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer down by 3.12 percent and 2.02 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 168.8 million euros (189.0 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
