Dollar changes hands in upper 109 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, May 15 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 109 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday, largely in line with its levels in New York overnight.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 109.67-68 yen compared with 109.56-66 yen in New York and 109.67-68 yen at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1203-1204 dollars and 122.87-91 yen against 1.1199-1209 dollars and 122.76-86 yen in New York and 1.1238-1239 dollars and 123.25-29 yen in late Tuesday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
