German shares edge up 0.90 pct

FRANKFURT, May 15 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 107.95 points, or 0.90 percent, to close at 12,099.57 points.

Automotive manufacturer BMW gained the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.12 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler and energy group RWE rose by 2.94 percent and 2.60 percent respectively.

Energy group E.ON lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 5.82 percent. Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp and pharmaceutical company Merck went down by 4.95 percent and 1.13 percent respectively.

Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 142.8 million euros (158.5 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
