MADRID, May 17 (Xinhua) -- The Spanish Liga Santander comes to a conclusion this weekend with some issues still to be resolved. Here are some things to look out for in Spain's Matchday 38.

1. Goodbyes at the Bernabeu

Real Madrid end the season with nothing to play for and it looks certain that coach Zinedine Zidane is going to make changes over the summer with everything pointing to the club offloading Gareth Bale and goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Bale has been left out of Zidane's last two squads in what looks to be a clear display of intentions by the coach, so the question is, will Zidane allow the Welshman the chance to say 'goodbye' to the Santiago Bernabeu?

Although he has been a target for the press and booed by fans in an indifferent campaign, Bale has been vital in Madrid's recent European successes.

Navas meanwhile is a popular figure and the goalkeeper in Madrid's three Champions League wins, surely he deserves a proper sendoff after what he has given the club.

2. Valencia or Getafe to claim fourth place?

The race to qualify for next season's Champions League is arguably the most important issue to be resolved this weekend, with Valencia favorites to cap a good end to the season with a repeat of last season's fourth place finish.

A win away to a Valladolid side which has nothing to play for after escaping the threat of relegation last weekend will assure fourth place for Valencia a week ahead of their appearance in the Cup final and it would be a surprise if they slip up.

Getafe meanwhile need Valencia to drop points and to then get a better result than their rivals when they face Villarreal and although fifth would an impressive achievement for the Madrid based club, it would be frustrating after they occupied fourth spot for most of the past few weeks.

3. Peace breaking out in Seville?

It's often the case that if the result of a game suits two teams then that is likely to be the final score and that could well be the case when Sevilla entertain Athletic Club Bilbao.

Although Sevilla have an outside chance of finishing fourth they would need both Getafe and Valencia to lose as well as to beat Athletic, who are a place below them in the league.

Athletic travel south knowing a point will assure they finish seventh and a place in the playoffs for next season's Europa League and although a win would take them above Sevilla, defeat could open the door for either Espanyol or Real Sociedad to finish above them.

A draw would ensure Sevilla sixth spot and Athletic seventh...so put your money on a draw.

4. Goodbye Girona

Although they have a slight chance of avoiding relegation, Girona need to win away to Alaves and hope that Rayo Vallecano win away to Celta with a swing of six goals in their favor over Celta.

Although Girona may win, it's hard to imagine Celta losing to a rival that has already been relegated and certainly not by three or four goals, so expect to see celebrations in Vigo, led by club captain Iago Aspas, and sad scenes in Vitoria as Girona bow out of the Liga Santander after two seasons in the top flight.
