BELGRADE -- Serbia will enhance comprehensive pragmatic cooperation with China, including in the areas of law enforcement and security, to advance bilateral relations to new levels, according to President Aleksandar Vucic.

BUJUMBURA -- Nine people were killed and 16 others were injured on Saturday at a mining site in northern Burundi, after a mountain collapsed around midday due to heavy rain, a local official said Sunday.

The victims were helping miners remove earth at the foot of the mountain in Kabarore Commune, Kayanza Province, when the mountain suddenly collapsed, Kabarore administrator Victor Ntakarutimana told Xinhua in a telephone interview. (Burundi-Mine Collapse)

MANAMA -- The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations commenced enhanced security patrols across the region in international waters on May 18, the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command announced on Sunday.

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi rebels on Sunday said last week's drone attacks on Saudi oil facilities were the beginning of military operations against 300 targets in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Houthi-controlled Saba news agency reported.
