UNITED NATIONS -- The U.S.-China trade row augurs ill for global trade and economy and benefits nobody, said UN chief economist Elliott Harris.

UNITED NATIONS -- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is very concerned about the rising rhetoric between Iran and the United States and warns that any action by either nation could be misinterpreted in a "very volatile region," his spokesman said on Monday.

"We are concerned about the rising rhetoric," the spokesman Stephane Dujarric replied, when asked about the increasingly heated exchange of comments between Tehran and Washington. "We saw the rocket launch that seemed to be aimed at the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, in Baghdad. That is also a concern."

BEIRUT -- Greek Ambassador to Lebanon Franciscos Verros said on Monday that Lebanon and Greece are working on increasing tourism exchange between the two countries.

"Lebanese are well-known for being great fans of Greece's tourism, especially when it comes to Island destinations such as Mykonos and Santorini," Verros told Xinhua in an interview on the sidelines of a press conference in Lebanon's capital Beirut to prepare for the Greek festival in Lebanon.

BEIRUT -- Hezbollah's deputy leader Sheikh Naim Qassem warned on Monday against a war with the United States and Israel, the National News Agency reported.

The U.S. hostile stance may lead to confrontation in the region, Qassem said during his meeting with Jan Kubis, the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon.

Qassem also criticized the Deal of the Century drafted and planned by the United States and Israel.

"The Palestinians will not allow this to happen and they will fight against it by all means," he said. Enditem
