FRANKFURT, May 24 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 58.63 points, or 0.49 percent, to close at 12,011.04 points.
Marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 1.74 percent. Reinsurance company Munich Re and manufacturing and electronics company Siemens rose by 1.72 percent and 1.47 percent respectively.
Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.93 percent. Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and Deutsche Bank down by 1.42 percent and 1.39 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 75.1 million euros (83.3 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
