TRIPOLI -- Fighter jets of Libya's UN-backed government on Saturday carried out six airstrikes against the east-based army in south of the capital Tripoli.

"The air force carried out six airstrikes against remnants of the militias of the war criminal Haftar (army) in southern Tripoli," the government forces said in a statement. (Libya-Airstrikes)

TEHRAN -- Iran has two new "top secret weapons" and may use them to sink U.S. warships, an advisor to the chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps said here on Saturday.

BAGHDAD -- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived on Saturday in Baghdad on an official visit to discuss bilateral ties and regional situation amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran, the Iraqi official television reported.
