WARSAW, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Donald Tusk, president of the European Council, said on Sunday that there would be no radical change in the European Parliament as he cast his vote along with fellow Poles in the key European elections.

"The European Parliament will look a little different, there will be a lot of new faces. But when it comes to this fundamental proportion, such as anti-EU politicians and pro-EU politicians, it will look more or less like the last 5 and 10 years," Tusk said after voting with his wife in Sopot, north of Poland.

According to Poland's National Electoral Commission, around 30 million Poles are eligible to vote for 51 seats in the European Parliament from 866 candidates across the country. With more than 38 million people, Poland is the sixth largest country in the EU in terms of population.

Latest survey shows that Polish conservative ruling Law and Justice party is expected to win 21 seats, same as the main opposition group European Coalition, which consists of Civic Platform and other smaller pro-European Union parties. Confederation, a far-right group formed in December from extremist and nationalist parties and social movements, is projected to obtain 3 seats. Enditem
