LONDON, May 28 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.12 percent, or 8.78 points, to close at 7,268.95 points.
NMC Health, a private healthcare services provider, soared 7.47 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Flutter Entertainment (former known as Paddy Power Betfair) and Rio Tinto increased by 3.49 percent and 2.89 percent, respectively.
British American Tobacco, a tobacco group, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.28 percent.
