CAPE TOWN, May 30 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in South African major news outlets on Thursday.

--President Cyril Ramaphosa announced his new cabinet of 28 ministers on Wednesday night at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.

David Mabuza remains deputy president of the country, while Ramaphosa has retained Finance Minister Tito Mboweni for fiscal stability.(News24)

--Parliament announced on Wednesday that Cyril Ramaphosa's first State of the Nation Address (SONA) as a democratically elected president is due to take place on June 20.
