DAMASCUS, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Two bombings hit Syria's northern Raqqa city Saturday, killing and wounding tens of people, a war monitor reported.
The first explosion hit the Basel Street in the central part of the city and when the people gathered to see what happened, a car bomb went off, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Meanwhile, Kurdish activists said 10 people were killed in the bombings.
The Raqqa city was the de facto capita of the Islamic State (IS) before being captured by the Kurdish groups. Enditem
