LOS ANGELES -- A young man was killed and three minors were wounded in a shooting in West Covina, a city located 35 kilometers east of downtown Los Angeles.

DAMASCUS -- Two bombings hit Syria's northern Raqqa city Saturday, killing and wounding tens of people, a war monitor reported.

The first explosion was caused by a land mine that exploded in the Basel Street in the central part of the city and when the people gathered to see what happened, a car bomb went off, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. (Syria-Bombing)

BUDAPEST -- The captain of a cruise liner that crashed into a sightseeing ship in Budapest was arrested pending a criminal investigation into the tragedy, a Hungarian official told Xinhua on Saturday.

"The court charged and arrested the captain of the cruise ship after a hearing of several hours," a spokesman of the Budapest prosecutor's office told Xinhua following the decision. (Hungary-Captain-Arrest)

ADEN, Yemen -- At least two Yemeni soldiers were killed on Saturday during an attack launched by suspected al-Qaida gunmen in Yemen's southeastern province of Hadramout, a security official told Xinhua.
