LUSAKA, June 3 (Xinhua) -- The following are news items in Zambia major media outlets on Monday.

-- Zambia has recorded an increase in international investment queries in the past few weeks regarding Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) since the company was placed under liquidation, the country's investment agency has said.

Faith Musonda, Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) manager in charge of public relations and communications said the agency has continued to receive increased investment inquiries from foreigners since the placement of the mine under liquidation. (Times of Zambia)

-- Zambia's biggest international airport, the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport situated in Lusaka, the country's capital, has become the first airport in the country to be certified according to international standards, raising the safety profile of the country's aviation.

Civil Aviation Authority director-general Gabriel Lesa said the development is a major milestone in the safety of civil aviation considering the low number of certified international aerodromes in Africa and the Indian Ocean region. (Zambia Daily Mail)

-- The Tanzania-Zambia Authority (TAZARA) has approved the proposal by management to transport 300,000 tons of freight for the financial year 2019/2020.
