LOS ANGELES, June 3 (Xinhua) -- A shooting occurred Monday afternoon at a shopping mall in Torrance, a city located 35 kilometers south of Los Angeles downtown, and at least one person was injured, police said.

According to local NBC news channel, the incident took place around 3 p.m. at Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, and authorities confirmed that one person was injured and the shooter is still at large.

Pictures posted by local residents showed policemen from the city and other law enforcement are swarming all over the area. The shopping mall has been evacuated. Enditem
