SEOUL -- South Korean Unification Minister Kim Yeon-chul said Tuesday that his country was making best efforts to resume negotiations between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the United States on denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Kim made the remarks during a press conference with foreign correspondents in Seoul, saying the government was exerting its utmost efforts to "set conditions" for the resumption of the DPRK-U.S. dialogue through the improved inter-Korean relations. He did not elaborate what the conditions would be.(SKorea-DPRK-US)

NEW DELHI -- India's federal health ministry Tuesday reviewed public health measures for deadly Nipah virus after a 23-year-old man admitted in a private hospital in southern India state of Kerala was found tested positive for the virus, officials said.

KABUL -- Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday expressed his government readiness to observe ceasefire if the Taliban outfit does.

"The government of Afghanistan is always ready to observe ceasefire but the Taliban group isn't," President Ghani said in his message on Eid al-Fitr, the second largest annual religious festival that marks the end of Ramadan, the Muslims' holy fasting month ended on Tuesday.(Afghanistan-Ceasefire)

SINGAPORE -- The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) on Tuesday launched the SBF BusinessASEAN Network at the ASEAN Conference 2019 as part of its efforts to help businesses based in the city-state expand into the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region.
