LONDON, June 5 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.08 percent, or 5.93 points, to close at 7,220.22 points.
Sage Group, a British multinational enterprise software company, soared 3.25 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Associated British Foods and United Utilities Group increased by 2.55 percent and 2.54 percent respectively.
Hargreaves Lansdown, a financial service company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 6.80 percent. NMC Health, a private healthcare services provider, dropped 4.64 percent. Johnson Matthey, a global science and chemicals company, fell 1.91 percent. Enditem
