SKOPJE, June 7 (Xinhua) -- The growth rate of North Macedonia's gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter of 2019 was 4.1 percent, data from the country's State Statistical Office (SSO) showed on Friday.
According to the data, in the first quarter of 2019, the sections of agriculture, forestry and fishing registered the biggest increase of 13.6 percent, and construction up by 7 percent.
An increase of 6.6 percent was registered in the sections of wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, transportation and storage, and accommodation and food service activities.
According to the data, in this period the household final consumption, including non-profit institutions serving households, went up 3.9 percent in nominal terms, and its share in the GDP structure was 63.5 percent.
