LOS ANGELES -- NASA's Mars Helicopter flight demonstration project has successfully passed a number of key tests recently, according to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California.

BAGHDAD -- German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas on Saturday paid an official visit to Iraq over bilateral ties and tensions in the Middle East region.

FIROZ KOAH, Afghanistan -- A total of 15 pro-government militiamen have been confirmed dead as Taliban fighters attacked Dawlatyar district in the western Ghor province, a member of the provincial council, Hamidullah Mutahid said Saturday.

According to the official, a group of Taliban militants launched a massive offensive in Pushtanor area of Dawlatyar district in the wee hours of Saturday, killing 15 pro-government militiamen, locally known as People's Uprising Force that has backed the government in fighting against anti-government insurgents.
