NEW DELHI -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday left for his maiden overseas visit, after beginning his second consecutive term last month, to the Maldives and Sri Lanka.

WELLINGTON -- The New Zealand Charitable Association (NZCA) set up its South Island branch on Saturday in Christchurch aiming to support the local Chinese community and help those in need.

Chinese Consul General Wang Zhijian told the launching ceremony that the NZCA provided great support for disaster relief after Christchurch's deadly earthquake in 2011. ISLAMABAD -- At least five people were killed and 20 others injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a trailer in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province, local media reported on Saturday.

NEW DELHI -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the main event on the occasion of "International Yoga Day" on June 21 this year at Ranchi, the capital city of the eastern state of Jharkhand, an official statement said on Saturday.
