KIGALI -- Rwanda's health ministry on Wednesday issued a fresh Ebola alert following an outbreak of the disease in neighboring Uganda.

Uganda's ministry of health on Tuesday announced that Ebola had broken out in the country after tests from a five-year-old boy in Kasese district neighboring Ebola-hit eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo turned positive. (Rwanda-Ebola-Uganda)

LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan -- Ten militants including a key commander were confirmed dead after the fighting aircraft targeted a Taliban gathering in Taliban bastion Musa Qala district of the southern Helmand province, provincial police department said in a statement released here Wednesday.

According to the statement, the air raids were conducted on Monday against a Taliban gathering in Landi Nawi area of Musa Qala district, killing 10 insurgents including notorious commander Atequllah, the military chief of the Taliban in Musa Qala and adjoining areas said. VIENNA -- Nine scientific experiments from across the world were accepted to be conducted on board the upcoming China Space Station, with six fully and three conditionally accepted, the United Nations and China announced in Vienna on Wednesday.

LOS ANGELES -- The U.S. private space company SpaceX on Wednesday launched the Falcon 9 rocket carrying Canada's RADARSAT Constellation from Vandenberg Air Force Base in the state of California.

The rocket, carrying the RADARSAT Constellation which includes three Earth observation satellites, blasted off at 7:17 a.m. Pacific Time (1417 GMT) from Space Launch Complex-4E at the air force base. (SpaceX-Satellites-Launch) Enditem
