NAIROBI, June 17 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Monday.

-- Staff at the Kakamega County General and Referral Hospital were yesterday involved in a frenzied search for the records relating to the birth of the identical twins born there, but separated at birth, 19 years ago. A DNA test conducted on Sharon Mathius and Melon Lutenyo by Lancet Kenya confirmed the girls as identical twins. (Nation)

-- President Uhuru Kenyatta has hit out at some unnamed politicians, accusing them of sabotage.

In a thinly veiled attack on the Tanga Tanga team that is lobbying for his deputy William Ruto's presidency in 2022 in the President's Central Kenya backyard, Uhuru dismissed them as "dirt" and "thugs" and vowed to hit back "at the right time." (Standard)

-- The bad blood between the Senate and the National Assembly is set to play out again next week as senators prepare to challenge 15 laws enacted without their input.

This comes only days after they walked out a mediation meeting with MPs, leading to the collapse of talks on the Division of Revenue Bill, 2019. (Star) Enditem
