TOKYO, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks extended gains Wednesday morning as investors sentiment was lifted by Wall Street's overnight rally on eased concerns about global trade issues.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 348.46 points, or 1.66 percent, from Tuesday to 21,321.17.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 23.52 points, or 1.54 percent, at 1,552.19.
Mining, nonferrous metal and machinery-linked issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break. Enditem
