MINSK, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Donbas conflict negotiators could not agree on the so-called "bread truce", the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Special Representative Martin Sajdik told journalists on Wednesday.
The parties have not reached an agreement on the text of the joint statement about the "bread truce", Sajdik said following the contact group's meeting in Minsk.
The diplomat said the parties did not separate forces and assets near Stanitsa Luhanskaya. The parties mentioned the intention two weeks ago in Minsk. The official said violations of the ceasefire are the reason.
Sajdik said the violations appeared after the parties expressed their intention. "There had been no violation for quite a long time before that," he added.
Sajdik expressed the hope that the ceasefire agreement will be reached during or even before the next meeting of the contact group on Ukraine.
The next meeting of the contact group in Minsk will take place on July 2. Enditem
