PARIS, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Three out of four French people had negative views about U.S. President Donald Trump, while one third thought his way of governing had bore positive results, according to a poll released on Wednesday.
Seventy-five percent of respondents did not appreciate the American president. The share of those who expressed negative opinion on the White House occupant was 80 percent among supporters of the ruling Republic on the Move party and hard left Unbowed France, an Elabe survey showed.
In the far-right wing, Trump attracted 34 percent of those who endorse the nationalism approach proposed by anti-Europe and anti-immigration leader Marine Le Pen, it added.
The pollster added that 43 percent of those interviewed judged Trump's policies negatively, while one third believed they were fruitful.
Conducted for BFMTV news television on June 18-19, the survey also showed that 63 percent of respondents appreciated German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Enditem
