-- Electricity utiliy Eskom is in a race against time to finish constructing a multi-billion rand railway line to the Majuba power station in Mpumalanga Province.
Failure to do so by March 2020 will see Eskom having to renegotiate the terms of billions of dollars in World Bank loans, which could have a knock-on effect on its other World Bank funded projects.(Fin24)
-- Six law enforcement officials, including traffic and police officers, have been taken into custody in Mpumalanga on suspicion of corruption over the weekend.
