LONDON, June 24 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.12 percent, or 9.19 points, to close at 7,416.69 points.
Micro Focus International, a multinational software and information technology business, soared 3.75 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Admiral Group and Halma increased by 3.74 percent and 3.14 percent, respectively.
J Sainsbury, a UK-based chain of supermarkets, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.01 percent.
