WASHINGTON -- The U.S. private space company SpaceX launched its rocket Falcon Heavy on Tuesday carrying 24 satellites into three different orbits in the "most difficult ever" mission.
The Falcon Heavy, the world's most powerful operational rocket, blasted off from the Kennedy Space Center in the U.S. state of Florida at 2:30 a.m. American Eastern Time (0630 GMT). This is Falcon Heavy's third launch and its first nighttime launch. (US-Science-Space)

NEW DELHI -- At least 17 people were killed and 19 others injured in rain-related incidents in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh, the state-run broadcaster All India Radio (AIR) said Tuesday.

KABUL -- At least 20 armed insurgents were killed and 14 others wounded during separate airstrikes conducted by Afghan air force in south Afghanistan on Monday, Afghan army said in a statement released on Tuesday.
