BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN -- Brunei hopes to reach a trade facilitation agreement on food and agricultural products with China in the near future, Brunei's Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy Abdul Manaf said, adding that the agreement will help expand the country's food and agricultural products exports to China.

In a meeting with the visiting delegation of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), Manaf said on Tuesday that China continues to be one of Brunei's top trading partners and reiterate the commitment to continue working together to increase trade engagement. (Brunei-China-Export)

KATHMANDU -- A Chinese geological survey team is set to conduct geological and petroleum survey and identify spots for drilling works to identify the type and quantity of petroleum reserve in Nepal, Nepal's Department of Mines and Geology said.

YANGON -- The Myanmar authorities ceremonially burned seized narcotic drugs worth over 451.7 billion kyats (301.2 million U.S. dollars) in three cities of Yangon, Mandalay and Taunggyi on Wednesday, to mark the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

A total of 22 kinds of drugs confiscated from Yangon, Tanintharyi, Bago, Ayeyawaddy, Rakhine, Mon and Kayin regions and states in connection with 3,975 cases were burned in Yangon. (Myanmar-Drugs)

SEOUL -- South Korea's childbirth hit a record monthly low for 37 straight months to April, boosting worry about a so-called demographic cliff, a government report showed Wednesday.
