TOKYO, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks rose Thursday morning as investors took a cue from the weaker yen to buy exporter issues following the market's fall over the last two sessions.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 175.51 points, or 0.83 percent, from Wednesday to 21,262.10.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, was up 14.10 points, or 0.92 percent, at 1,548.44.
Machinery, marine transportation, and oil and coal product issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break. Enditem
