LONDON, June 28 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.31 percent, or 23.30 points, to close at 7,425.63 points.

International Consolidated Airlines Group, an Anglo-Spanish multinational airline holding company, soared 4.97 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Berkeley Group Holdings and Burberry Group increased by 4.19 percent and 4.08 percent respectively.

Imperial Brands, a British multinational tobacco company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.28 percent. Bunzl, a multinational distribution and outsourcing company, dropped 1.80 percent. Intertek Group, a multinational assurance, inspection, product testing and certification company, fell 1.43 percent.
