OSAKA -- China and the United States have highly integrated interests and extensive cooperation areas and they should not fall into so-called traps of conflict and confrontation.

Chinese President Xi Jinping made the remarks in a meeting with his U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump, on Saturday on the sidelines of a summit of the Group of 20 (G20) major economies in the Japanese city of Osaka.

NICOSIA -- "No country can impose on Cyprus an obligation to stop providing facilities to Russian or other ships," Defence Minister of Cyprus Savvas Angelides said on Saturday.
