LONDON, July 1 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.97 percent, or 71.87 points, to close at 7,497.50 points.
NMC Health, a private healthcare services provider, soared 4.79 percent, the top gainer among the blue chips. Flutter Entertainment and British American Tobacco increased by 4.12 percent and 4.09 percent, respectively.
Fresnillo, a Mexican-based precious metals mining company, was the worst performer among the blue chips, losing 2.00 percent. Associated British Foods, a British multinational food processing and retailing company, dropped 1.54 percent.
