LONDON, July 2 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.82 percent, or 61.69 points, to close at 7,559.19 points.
Ferguson, a multinational plumbing and heating products distributor, soared 3.39 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Reckitt Benckiser Group and National Grid increased by 3.29 percent and 2.81 percent, respectively.
