ADDIS ABABA, July 3 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Wednesday.

-- Ethiopia's Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, and the Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, on Tuesday held an in-depth exchange of views on the situation in Sudan.

They have welcomed the significant progress made in the negotiations between the Sudanese parties in conformity with the guidance given by the AU Peace and Security Council on June 6 and the Extra-Ordinary Meeting of the Inter-governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Council of Ministers held on June 19. -- The 25th Ethio-Djibouti Border Administrators and commissioners meeting opened on Tuesday in Alisabeh, Djibouti, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

-- An Ethiopian delegation led by Speaker of the House of People's Representatives (HPR) Tagesse Chafo participated in the International Parliamentary Forum held July 1-2 in Moscow, Russia.
