SINGAPORE, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.13 percent, or 4.45 points, to close at 3,372.25.
A total of 1.29 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 936.17 million Singapore dollars (about 690.34 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 245 to 152.
The STI index went down 0.09 percent, or three points, to close at 3,367.8 Wednesday. Enditem
