LONDON, July 5 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.66 percent, or 50.44 points, to close at 7,553.14 points.

Just Eat, an online food order and delivery service, soared 2.78 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Sainsbury and TUI increased by 2.39 percent and 1.37 percent, respectively.

Rio Tinto, a mining and metals company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.83 percent.
