SINGAPORE, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.21 percent, or 6.89 points, to close at 3,357.34.
A total of 1.07 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.03 billion Singapore dollars (about 758.41 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 181 to 235.
The STI index went up 0.3 percent, or 10.03 points, to close at 3,350.45 Thursday. Enditem
