LUSAKA, July 12 (Xinhua) -- The following are news items in Zambia major media outlets on Friday.

-- The Zambian government has constituted a high-level team of technocrats to offer advice on how to handle Konkola Copper Mines transition which has been repossessed from India's Vedanta Resources.

Minister of Mines and Minerals Development Richard Musukwa said the team, which comprises mineral scientists, lawyers and accountants, will advise the government on how to handle matters surrounding the future of the mine. (Times of Zambia)

-- The Zambian government has refuted media reports that it has failed to provide its share of funds for the construction of a joint bridge with Botswana, resulting in delays.

Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing Permanent Secretary Charles Musonda said the construction of the Kazungua Bridge was on track without any problems as claimed by some people. (Daily Nation) Enditem
