Indonesia targeting gold in weightlifting during 2019 SEA Games

JAKARTA, July 13 (Xinhua) -- Despite stiff competition from Indonesia's neighbors, the country's national weightlifting association has set their athletes the goal of gold at the SEA Games.
The training camp head coach of the Indonesian lifters, Dirja Wihardja said that Vietnam and host country the Philippines will be the strongest opponents for the Indonesian lifters.
The country's weightlifting association will select 10 lifters to compete in the 2019 SEA Games, he said.
"Our male and female lifters are still be able to take a lead. Hopefully we can be champions in weightlifting," he was quoted by Antara news wire as saying on Friday night.
The 30th biennial regional multi-sport event is scheduled to be held in the Philippines from November 30 to December 11. Enditem
