LUSAKA, July 14 (Xinhua) -- The following are news items in Zambia major media outlets on Sunday.

-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu has urged investors pledging to invest in various sectors of the economy to ensure that they actualize their investment.

Lungu said when he commissioned a new sugar plantation and factory in Chembe district in Luapula Province that actualizing pledged investments will go a long way in developing the nation. (Zambia Daily Mail)

-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu says there is a ploy by some opposition political parties to accuse senior government officials of involving in corruption in order to distract them from performing their duties.

Lungu said the opposition parties have run out of ideas and have resorted to accusing senior government officials of corruption in order to instill fear in them. (Times of Zambia)

-- The Zambia Atomic Energy Corporation says the establishment of a Nuclear Research Center would allow for the use of nuclear science and technology in the mining sector.
