MOSCOW -- The Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday confirmed that it continued to deliver batches of S-400 air defense system components to Turkey.

"On July 14, 2019, as part of the fulfillment of contractual obligations, the aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Defense Ministry carried out the regular delivery of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system to Turkey," the ministry said in a handout to Xinhua. STOCKHOLM -- Nine people were killed in a plane crash just outside Umea in northern Sweden on Sunday afternoon, Swedish News SVT reported.

A light plane crashed into a small island just 2 km south of the end of the runway at Umea airport, killing all nine people on board. The deaths have been confirmed by Vasterbotten Region authorities, SVT reported. (Sweden-Plane Crash)

PARIS -- France on Sunday held its annual Bastille Day celebrations with a traditional military parade down the famous avenue of the Champs Elysees in Paris, with European dignitaries in attendance.

JAKARTA -- A 7.2-magnitude earthquake jolted Indonesia's eastern North Maluku province on Sunday, but was not likely to trigger tsunami, Prio Subandi, an official at the meteorology and geophysics agency said.

The quake struck at 16:10 p.m. Jakarta time (0910 GMT) with the epicenter 62 km northeast of Labuha in the province at the depth of 10 km, the official said. (Indonesia-Quake) Enditem
