DHAKA, July 15 (Xinhua) -- At least eight people were killed when a train ploughed into a minibus Monday evening at a rail crossing in Bangladesh.
Seven people were also injured in the accident in Bangladesh's Sirajganj district, 134 km northwest of the capital Dhaka at about 6:45 p.m. local time, said a police official.
The official who declined to be named said the Padma Express train bound for the capital Dhaka rammed into the minibus which was crossing the unmanned crossing.
All the dead were on the minibus, he added.
There are many unmanned level crossings along the Bangladesh Railway lines in the country, where most tracks of the railway are in a dilapidated condition. Enditem
