BUDAPEST, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Hungarian oil and gas giant MOL will raise its wholesale petrol and diesel prices by seven forints and five forints per liter respectively from Wednesday, Hungarian news agency MTI reported on Monday.
"Prices at the pump will rise to around 397 forints (1.37 U.S.dollars) for a liter of petrol and around 398 forints per liter of diesel as a result," it reported.
MOL takes decisions on its vehicle fuel prices twice a week.
The increase of fuel prices is paramount in Hungary from the perspective of inflation, which has been on the rise in the past months, passing the 3-percent threshold set up by the Hungarian National Bank.
Consumer prices were 3.4 percent higher on average in June than a year earlier, according to the latest official figures. (1 U.S. dollar = 289 HUF) Enditem
