SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi rebels said they launched bomb-laden drone attacks at King Khaled Air Base in Asir region in southwestern Saudi Arabia on Saturday, Houthi military spokesman said in a statement.

"The attacks targeted radar sites and other military facilities in the air base," Yahya Sarea said in the statement, adding the attacks came in retaliation against Saudi-led coalition's airstrikes.

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. military said on Friday that the Pentagon has authorized the movement of military personnel and resources to Saudi Arabia to help deter "credible threats."

The move would provide "an additional deterrent, and ensures our ability to defend our forces and interests in the region from emergent, credible threats," the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement. Enditem
