GAZA -- Islamic Hamas movement's politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh said Saturday that his group has rockets that can strike any place in Israel.
"In spite of the (Israeli) siege, the armed resistance (Hamas) is still powerful and its abilities have become strong," Haniyeh said in a meeting with Turkish journalists on video conference from his Gaza office. (Hamas-Israel)

ADDIS ABABA -- The African Union (AU) on Saturday said it will deploy more healthcare experts to respond to the Ebola virus outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The virus has caused 1,621 deaths in the DRC as of July 17 in an outbreak that is the second largest in the history of Ebola since it was discovered in 1976. (Ethiopia-AU-Ebola)

BERLIN -- A small plane crashed and collided against the facade of a hardware store on Saturday in southern German city of Bruchsal, killing at least three, according to the police.
According to initial findings by the police, the three victims are passengers on board. Further details were not known at first. (Germany-Plane crash)

TEHRAN -- Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that the United States is "creating instability and insecurity" in the Middle East and Latin America, Tasnim news agency reported on Saturday.
